Is a Better World Possible?

We all watch the news, right? And all we see is doom and gloom on the box, but is there a better world out there? Which is not reported in the mainstream news? Well. I think there is, and I see it here where I live every day. So why are there so many problems elsewhere, I ask myself? When I already know that multi-cultural people from all parts can get on together, regardless of faith or nationality, because that it how I see the world here in El Campello (Spain) on a daily basis.

Is Spain any different to the rest of the world? NO! But how do we all understand the word "World"? Well, I suppose that is the basis of my first blog post, so we can all give our opinions about that, regardless of where we are from, or where we may live. I'd really like to put a world-wide mix of ideas together, publish a book, and share the proceeds, but one step at a time.

Quite honestly, if we don't begin to discuss world matters now as world-wide citizens, we will never get the world we truly desire. When I began to research historical facts about today's WORLD, I was quite shocked.  At the same time, I had virtually just become a Christian, which just means I follow Christ and nobody else in this world, along with a daily personal relationship with GOD.

It soon became obvious to me that Christ was not recognised in the WORLD's history, though interestingly enough Mohamed was. But the interesting thing I found was that the Koran speaks about Jesus Christ, I know, because I've read the first 100 chapters of an English translated copy. The Koran also speaks of Adam, Abraham, and Moses, so am I to believe that the Muslims worship the same God as I do? Well, I think so.

At one time in our lives, we've all heard that Religion is the cause of all wars. Well, I don't think I agree with that in full as the first world war clearly wasn't, and even the second world war began through huge financial burdens being placed on the German nation.. Religion is actually a man-made word, so maybe there is some truth in that wars have begun due to Religion, but Religion really doesn't have anything to do with God (he struck that off 2000 years ago). In the Bible it actually says that when Christ died on the Cross, the Veil was torn by GOD, and that Veil represented Jewish religion. So, our relationship with God should be personal, and not guided by the misguided. I hope that makes sense regarding separating God from Religion, because it's key to what I have to say about the world.

Let's stop there for today, and I'd love to hear your HONEST comments...
